Hello and welcome to my art gallery
I was born in Denmark in 1961, and have been livng in many different countries, Mother Earth is my home!
I have always been VERY creative, and as a youngster, I wanted to become a full time creative artist. My parents had other thoughts and ambitions on my behalf, and instead, I took a degree in busines and trade. But office work was not me, so as an adult, I went back to school, and became a licensed furniture maker. Having a steady job, was just a way to make a living and pay my bills, my heart was never in it, I always had a need to be creative.
As a kid, I used all available wood in my dads hobbyroom, to build stuff. My mom had a knitting machine, on which I made a 4,5 m long scarf in many colors. It looked great, but was impossible to wear, because of the oversize. One of my early highlights, was a Davy Crocket fur hat, which I made on my moms sewing machine. I couldnt find any fur in the box with left-over cloth, so instead I used the entire back of my moms (expensive) fur coat. My parents did NOT appriciate my creativity!!!
Besides knitting and sewing, I have worked with clay, origami, collage, drawing, acrylic and oil painting, wood carving, tile mosaic, poetry, intarsia and my absolut favorite: linoleum cutting. Today, I mostly do linoleum cuttings, which I consider my best way to express thoughts and feelings. I dont masproduce my prints, mostly I make only 7 or 10 copies, occasionally only a single print.
I took art classes in the late 80's, to learn some basic skills in composition and colors, but I am mostly self-taught, and dont claim to be a so-called educated artist.
Feel free to get in touch with me, if you would like to purchase any of my previous or current work. I also do special orders, if you need a large tile mosaic for your bathroom or swimming pool, or an exhibition in your art gallery, etc.
